The Krastan Dyankov Translation Award is a prize given annually (beginning 2007) for outstanding translation of a work of contemporary literary fiction from English to Bulgarian.
Every literary translator who meets the Award criteria can apply regardless of her/his citizenship.
The Award is named for Krustan Dyankov (1933-1999), a renowned Bulgarian translator of American literature. He translated works by numerous important authors, among them John Steinbeck, John Updike, Erskine Caldwell, John Cheever and William Faulkner.
