Winner announcement :: Literary Translators Fellowship 2011

Olga Nikolova is the winner of the second contest for literary translators, jointly organized with Open Letter Books. Nikolova will spend a three-week residency at Open Letter Books, one of the U.S. premier publishers of literature in translation, based at the University of Rochester. During her residency she will work on a specific translation of a work, originally written in Bulgarian by Albena Stambolova, and will take part in translation workshops held within the Translation Studies Program at the University of Rochester.

Nikolova holds PhD in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University, U.S. Currently she teaches English at the Université de La Rochelle, France.

Her candidature was approved out of 4 applications. The judge of this contest was Chad Post.
